Two Queens men indicted in Westchester bank rob: FBI

QUEENS — Two men from Queens were indicted in connection with a bank robbery in Ardsley, N.Y., the FBI said.

Joseph McCrimon, 38, is accused of going into a Wells Fargo Bank March 29, allegedly demanding $20,000 from the teller and allegedly threatening to detonate an explosive device if the bank employee did not comply, the FBI said.

After the teller gave him $10,000 in cash, McCrimon allegedly ran outside to where James Sherrod, 39, was waiting with a getaway car, the FBI said.

Sherrod allegedly sped off, pursued by an Ardsley detective, and during a chase, the vehicle they were riding in collided with another car, the FBI said. Sherrod and McCrimon were then taken into custody, according to the FBI.
