Workshop At Grover Cleveland 2/26
A local high school is helping prospective college students fill out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications.
Grover Cleveland Highschool is hosting a FAFSA completion workshop from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
FAFSA determines eligibility for federal student aid programs like Pell Grants, Stafford Loans and federal work-study programs.
In addition,the New York State Tuition Assistance Program and other state- and college-based scholarship programs use the FAFSA to award money.
Representatives from the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) will be on hand, Wednesday, to help students fill out FAFSA forms electronically. Computers will be provided for the application process, acccording to a HESC representative.
