Mayor de Blasio helped open the Mets 2014 season Monday by throwing the ceremonial first pitch at Citi Field.
The Boston Red Sox fan managed to hurl a strike, but was loudly booed by the crowd when he was introduced, according to published reports.

When asked before the game if he would ever throw the first pitch at Yankee Stadium, the Massachusetts native said he would be ” happy to” if invited.
