Service Changes For Memorial Weekend

All MTA New York City Transit subways and buses—and all MTA Bus Company bus routes—will operate on a Sunday schedule on Memorial Day Monday, May 26. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly and allow for additional travel time.

Additionally, the Long Island Rail Road will operate extra eastbound trains out of Penn Station tomorrow afternoon, Friday, May 23, for those seeking to get a headstart on the holiday weekend. For additional details, visit www.mta.info/lirr.

Weekend Work Shuts J & M Train Service

J train service between Marcy Avenue and Broadway Junction—and the entire weekend M train shuttle— will be suspended for scheduled construction this holiday weekend, from 3:30 a.m. Saturday, May 24, until 10 p.m. Monday, May 26.

During this period, J trains will run in two sections—between Jamaica Center and Broadway Junction and between Marcy Avenue and Chambers Street.

Shuttle buses will replace J train service between Marcy Avenue and Broadway Junction. M shuttle service will also be replaced by shuttle buses, which will operate to and from Marcy Avenue.

For alternate service to and from Manhattan, transfer to the A or C train at Broadway Junction or the L train at Broadway Junction or Myrtle- Wyckoff Avenues.

The shuttle buses will stop at all affected stations as follows:

J train shuttle bus

• Broadway Junction—on Fulton Street at Van Sinderen Avenue;

• Chauncey Street—on Rockaway Avenue at Broadway (to Marcy Avenue) or on Bushwick Avenue at Chauncey Street (to Broadway Junction);

• Halsey Street—on Bushwick Avenue at Halsey Street;

• Gates Avenue—on Bushwick Avenue at Gates Avenue;

• Kosciuszko Street—on Bushwick Avenue at Stockholm Street (to Marcy Avenue) or at Kosciuszko Street (to Broadway Junction);

• Myrtle Avenue-Broadway—on Bushwick Avenue at Myrtle Avenue (to Marcy Avenue or Broadway Junction), at Stanwix Street (to Marcy Avenue only) or at Jefferson Street (to Broadway Junction or a Metropolitan Avenue-bound M shuttle bus);

• Flushing Avenue—on Flushing Avenue at Humboldt Street (to Marcy Avenue) or at Broadway (to Broadway Junction or a Metropolitan Avenue M shuttle bus);

• Lorimer Street—on Broadway at Lorimer Street;

• Hewes Street—on Broadway at Hooper Street; and

• Marcy Avenue—on Broadway at Rodney Street.

M train shuttle bus

• Metropolitan Avenue—on Metropolitan Avenue across from the M train station entrance;

• Fresh Pond Road—on Putnam Avenue at Fresh Pond Road (to Marcy Avenue) or on Fresh Pond Road at Putnam Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

• Forest Avenue—on Putnam Avenue at Forest Avenue (to Marcy Avenue) or on Fairview Avenue at Forest Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

• Seneca Avenue—on Seneca Avenue at Palmetto Street;

• Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues—on Gates Avenue at Wyckoff Avenue;

• Knickerbocker Avenue—on Myrtle Avenue at Knickerbocker Avenue;

• Central Avenue—on Myrtle Avenue at Cedar Street (to Marcy Avenue) or at DeKalb Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

• Myrtle Avenue-Broadway—on Myrtle Avenue at Bushwick Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue) or on Bushwick Avenue at Jefferson Street (to Metropolitan Avenue or the Broadway Junction-bound J shuttle bus);

• Flushing Avenue—on Flushing Avenue at Humboldt Street (to Marcy Avenue) or at Broadway (Metropolitan Avenue or a Broadway Junction-bound J shuttle bus);

• Lorimer Street—on Broadway at Lorimer Street;

• Hewes Street—on Broadway at Hooper Street; and

• Marcy Avenue—on Broadway at Rodney Street.

Early End To Some M Train Service

M train service between 47th-50th Streets and 71st-Continental Avenues will end early on Tuesday through Thursday, May 27-29. The last Middle Village-bound M train will depart 71st-Continental Avenues at 9:08 p.m., while the last Forest Hillsbound M train will depart Metropolitan Avenue at 8:46 p.m. and from 47th-50th Streets at 9:24 p.m.

Thereafter until midnight each evening, M trains will operate normal service between Metropolitan Avenue to 47th-50th Streets before switching to the F line to the last stop, 57th Street. Late night M shuttle service between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway is not affected.

More Disruptions Affect The 7 Line

Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 82nd Street, 90th Street, 103rd Street and 111th Street stations on Thursday, May 22, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or Mets-Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or 74th Street, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train .

Additionally, 7 train service will be suspended between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street from 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, until 5 a.m. Thursday, May 29. During this period, 7 trains will only operate between Main Street and Queensboro Plaza.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N train at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square- 42nd Street or the E or F trains at 74th Street.

Free shuttle buses will replace 7 train service in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These buses will also stop at Queens Plaza for ADA-access to the E train.

The shuttle buses will stop as follows:

• Queensboro Plaza—on 28th Street at Queens Plaza North;

• Queens Plaza—on 42nd Road at Jackson Avenue;

• Court Square-23rd Street—on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or at Thomson Avenue (to Queensboro Plaza);

• Hunters Point Avenue—on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

• Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue—on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

More Split Service On L Line In Bklyn.

The last stop for alternating Canarsie-bound L trains will be Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues on Thursday, May 22, and Friday, May 23, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Riders can transfer between Canarsie-bound L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue their trip.

It was noted that L trains to Canarsie will operate every 12 minutes.

N Train Skips Stops In Astoria Weekdays

Manhattan-bound N trains will skip the 30th Avenue, Broadway, 36th Avenue and 39th Avenue stations on Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this period, there is no Q train service between 57th Street in Manhattan and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria.

For service to the skipped stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train.

Weekend Line Switch For F Trains To Jam.

Jamaica-bound F trains will run on the E line between 47th-50th Streets and Roosevelt Avenue this holiday weekend, from 9:45 p.m. Friday, May 23, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 27. As a result, there will be no Jamaicabound F train service at Roosevelt Island or 21st Street-Queensbridge.

For service to those stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train. For service from those stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train.

Local E Service In F.H. & Briarwood

Manhattan-bound E trains will make local stops at Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue stations at all times 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 23.

Additionally, E trains will operate local service in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71st- Continental Avenues this holiday weekend, from 12:30 a.m. Saturday, May 24, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 27; and late nights on Tuesday through Thursday, May 29, from 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

F Trains Become A Late Night Local

Manhattan-bound F trains will run local service between Roosevelt Avenue and 21st Street-Queensbridge through Friday, May 23, from 12:01 to 5 a.m.

Additionally, F trains will run local in both directions between 21st Street- Queensbridge and 71st-Continental Avenues on Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Slower Goings On The G This Weekend

G trains will operate every 20 minutes in both directions between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues this holiday weekend, from 5 a.m. Saturday, May 24, until midnight Monday, May 26. Riders are advised to allow additional travel time.

Station Renewal Comes To A Line

The Ozone Park/Far Rockawaybound platform at the 88th Street station and the Ozone Park-bound platform at the 101st Street station on the A line remain shut through August as part of an ongoing station renewal project.

For service to the 88th Street station, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For service to the 101st Street station, take a Lefferts Boulevard/Ozone Parkbound A train to 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.

For service from these stations, take the A train to either Rockaway Boulevard or 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train.

Additionally, Ozone Park-bound A trains will skip the 111th Street station this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, May 16, until 5 a.m. Monday, May 19.

For service to this station, take the A train to Lefferts Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For service from this station, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound A train; or the Q112 bus during days and evenings along Liberty Avenue.
