Man wanted in alleged sexual assault in Forest Hills: NYPD

Police have released a sketch of a suspect wanted in the sexual abuse of a 47-year-old woman in her Forest Hills apartment building Tuesday, the NYPD said.

The Police Department said the man is believed to have followed the woman into her building, near Queens Boulevard and 76th Road, just before 7 p.m. Tuesday. He then allegedly grabbed her from behind, sexually abused her, threw her to the ground and fled, the NYPD said.

The 47-year-old suffered minor injuries to her right arm and knee and was treated at Elmhurst General Hospital, according to police.

The NYPD asked anyone with information about the incident or the sketch of the suspect to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
