GLENDALE — Police announced Tuesday afternoon they had caught a suspected narcotics dealer who had injured a detective while breaking away from officers in Glendale Monday evening, the NYPD said.
The 104th Precinct said Bryan McMenamin, of Glendale, was apprehended in Manhattan. Police said charges were pending.
The NYPD spent hours scouring for McMenamin after he eluded officers who were trying to arrest him on charges of selling narcotics, police said.
He allegedly struck a detective with a car near Cooper Avenue and 59th Street in Glendale at 7 p.m. and took off.
The detective’s right leg was injured, but he was in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
Police said the car was found near Myrtle Avenue and Decatur Street.
