MARIA BONDI of Ridgewood
died on Saturday, October 11, at the
age of 89. A native of Burgio,
Sicily, she was the beloved wife of
the late Giacomo, and devoted
mother of Tommaso and
Giuseppina, loving mother-in-law
of Salvatore and Antonina,
cherished grandmother of Maria
Cinzia, Maria, Caterina, Francesco
and Giacomo and great-grandmother ofAdriana and Viviana. A Mass
of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, October 14, at St. Matthias
Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village, under the direction of Seneca Chapels, 494 Seneca
Ave., Ridgewood.

WERNER MICHALSKI of Middle Village died on Saturday,
October 11, at the age of 92. A native of Hamburg, Germany, hew as
the husband of the late Ilse, devoted father of Klaus Michalski and
Gabrielle Michalski and devoted companion of Justine Wittine. He is
also survived by seven grandchildren. Services were offered at Morton
Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood,
by Rev. Thomas Goodhart, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond
Crematory, Middle Village.

ANTHONY J. CHORNEY died on Friday, October 10, at the age of
85. He was the beloved husband of Reberta M. Chorney, loving father
of Karen Russell, Anthony Chorney, Nancy Gallo, Cynthia Cudak,
Charlotte Shiger, Christine Virgo, Donna Rios, Joseph Chorney and
Deborah Delgado. He is survived by 19 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the
Korean Conflict. A Divine Liturgy was offered on Tuesday, October
14, at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Transfiguration of our
Lord, Williamsburg, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery,
Maspeth, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand
Ave., Maspeth.

MARIA V. TYNES of the Bronx died on Friday, October 10, at the
age of 65. A native of Brooklyn, she was the wife of the late Rev.
Allen Tynes, devoted mother of Alexis Tynes and Jacob Tynes and
dear sister of Josephine Ventura. Services were offered at Morton
Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave.,
Ridgewood, followed by cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village.

IMELDA B. LAWRENCE of Park City, Utah died on Thursday,
October 9, at the age of 95. A native of New York, she was the wife
of the late James T., devoted mother of Carol Spano, Susan Caporale,
James Lawrence and Linda Roth and dear sister of Berenice Weber
and Raymond Hark. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and
11 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, followed by
interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, L.I., under the
direction of Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663

BONITA SCHEINMAN of Woodmere, L.I. died on Tuesday,
October 7, at the age of 79. A native of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., she was
the wife of the late Tom and devoted mother of Jessica Scheinman,
Laurel Scheinman and Joanne Weisman. She is also survived by four
grandchildren. Services were offered at Morton Funeral
Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood,
followed by interment at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.

GASPER J. PIRRELLO died on Monday, October 6, at the age of
91. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Pirrello, loving father of
Michael Pirrello and John Pirrello, father-in-law of Laurie and Lori,
cherished grandfather of Matthew and Stephanie; Michael; John;
Megan and Andrew; Jennifer; Michael; Daniel; Paul; Lucas; Joshua;
and Grace, great-grandfather of Nathan and dear brother of Mary
Occhineri, Anna Viola and the late Peter Pirrello and Josephine
Napolitano. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and
friends. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War
II. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Friday, October 10, at
St. Mary’s Church, Woodside, followed by interment at Calverton
National Cemetery, Calverton, L.I., under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.
