Man found hanging over Cross Island Parkway

BAYSIDE — A hanging victim was discovered early Wednesday morning on the Cross Island Parkway near Northern Boulevard.

A 57-year-old man was found unconscious, hanging from a traffic advisory board on the side of the parkway, the NYPD said. When emergency responsers arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, but the police did not identify the victim by name.

The Medical Examiner could not be reached regarding the cause of death.
