ASTORIA — The NYPD has released surveillance video of an attack on board a Q66 bus in Astoria more than a month ago.
A man was sitting on the bus at the northwestern corner of 21st Street and 35th Avenue when the suspect approached him and punched him in the face, causing a laceration, according to police. The attack occurred around noon on Friday, July 8.
The 32-year-old victim got off the bus and went to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released, according to the NYPD. The suspect was last seen exiting the rear of the bus and no property was removed during the incident.
Police describe the suspect as a 30-year-old Hispanic man, 5-foot-8, with dark hair, a mustache and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a dark gray T-shirt and dark colored pants.
