Open House NY with hosts Victor Dadras and Kevin Wolfe will be leading two walking tours through Douglaston Saturday to showcase the best food and beverage the neighborhood has to offer. The tours are sponsored by The Douglaston and Little Neck Historical Society, the Douglas House Trust and the Douglaston Local Development Corporation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving the historic aspects of Douglaston Village.

Open House NY offers architectural tours throughout the city and gives audiences rare access to historic places and the people who help design, build, and preserve these locations.

Each tour will take participants from the Douglaston LIRR Station Plaza to the Douglaston Club, where cookies and cider will be served on the porch.

Those attending the tour can also enjoy a bake sale at the nearby Catherine Turner Richardson Park in Little Neck for “It’s My Park,” sponsored by the Douglaston Garden Club between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in front of the Home NY Real Estate Office at 40-60 Douglaston Pkwy.

The first tour will start at noon and the second will be at 2:30 p.m., and reservations must be made online at ohny.org at $5 each with a maximum of 30 people per group.
