In what is becoming somewhat of a trend, cops have arrested two men for having more than 200 small envelopes of heroin and a stack of cash on them during a routine traffic stop on the Glendale/Ridgewood border earlier this month.
Officers from the 104th Precinct approached a vehicle that was blocking a crosswalk in the vicinity of Myrtle Avenue and 62nd Street, at 6:40 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17.
Inside the vehicle, officers found Matthew Micelli, 34, and Milton Rivera, 29, both of Booth Street in Rego Park, who turned out to have 203 decks of heroin and $2,100 in cash on them.
Both were arrested. Micelli was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and violation of local law, while Rivera was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, law enforcement agents said.
