The NYPD is searching for a knife-wielding suspect who demanded drugs at a Corona drugstore around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

The Hispanic man, around 23 years old, entered the Corona Heights Pharmacy, located at 106-07 Corona Ave., and pulled a knife, according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached a 64-year-old store employee and grabbed him by the shirt and demanded prescription medication, police said. He then pushed the employee and fled the scene to parts unknown, according to authorities.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, last seen wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
