Cops say this man strangled a Flushing internet cafe worker after refusing to pay his tab

Police need the public’s help in finding a man who assaulted an employee at a Flushing internet cafe last month because the worker asked the man to pay his bill.

According to authorities, the violence broke out at 5:30 p.m. on the afternoon of June 22 inside the Time Internet Cafe located at 136-31 41st Ave., near Main Street.

Law enforcement sources said the suspect — described as an Asian male in his 20s wearing a blue button-down shirt and blue jeans — used the facilities and attempted to leave. He was then approached by a 19-year-old male employee who insisted that he pay his bill.

Police sad the suspect then punched the employee in the face, knocked him to the ground and choked him. He then fled the location in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 109th Precinct responded to the scene; the employee was treated at the scene for bruises and lacerations to his face and neck.
