Police have arrested two teenagers in connection to the robbery of an elderly man in Jamaica Hills.

Shyquan Kimble and Jaleel Steele, both 16 years old, were arrested Monday and charged with two counts of robbery and assault, police said.

According to police, on Sept. 28 at 6:26 p.m., in front of MIM Wireless, located at 167-05 Hillside Ave., a 66-year-old man was talking on his cell phone when one of the teenagers grabbed his phone from his ear and fled westbound on Hillside Avenue. Police said the victim tried to chase after the teenager but was punched in the side of the head by the other suspect who also fled on foot.

The 66-year-old victim sustained a contusion to the head and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he is currently in critical condition, police said.
