Cops are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman who robbed at knifepoint a grocery store and two cell phone stores in Astoria on Oct. 9.
According to an NYPD spokesperson, the suspect started her robbery spree at about 4:56 a.m. at L.I.C. Deli Grocery at 12-03 40th Ave. She approached the clerk, brandished a knife and told him to give her the money in the cash register. The employee gave her $150 and she fled the scene.
At about 10:30 p.m., she entered a Metro PCS at 13-05 40th Ave., brandished a weapon and asked the 18-year-old employee to empty the cash register. She walked away with $50.
The suspect attempted to rob a Boost Mobile at 40-35 21st St. but the employee did not comply and she fled the location.
Police describe her as a black or Hispanic woman, approximately 5 feet and 170 pounds and last seen wearing a pony tail.
