Police said they have been able to identify both a victim and a suspect in the stabbing that occurred at a residence on 147th Street and 116th Avenue in South Jamaica Monday.

The victim was Flushing resident Christopher Cody, 39, who was found by police unconscious with multiple stab wounds in the torso and later pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, according to authorities.

Three days later the suspect, Marquis Copeland, 43, who lives at 148th Street in South Jamaica, which is two minutes from the crime scene, was arrested, according to the NYPD.

Police said the motive for the stabbing stemmed from a past dispute.
