Detectives are investigating the murder of a 70-year-old man who was fatally stabbed on Friday night in front of the Queens Village home where he lived.
Officers from the 105th Precinct responded to a 911 call just after 9:41 p.m. on June 22 at a home on 104th Avenue near 220th Street.
Upon arriving at the location, they found 70-year-old George Bartoli lying in the driveway with multiple stab wounds to his neck. Paramedics rushed Bartoli to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police offered few details about the case, but sources indicated that the incident may have been domestic in nature. The New York Daily News reported that Bartoli rented a room from the homeowner.
Cops found a knife, believed to be the murder weapon, about 50 yards from where Bartoli was found, the Daily News also reported.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
