A Thanksgiving message from the Queens Borough President

By Melinda Katz

Thanksgiving is about reflection.

In a year of such uncertainty, fear and pain throughout the world, may we take a moment with our families, friends and loved ones, and give thanks for all that is still possible.

May we take a moment to watch out for those alone, and with the record-breaking bitter cold headed our way, extend greater kindness.

May we look out for those in need and without shelter, and when offering help, extend greater patience.

May we remember all those who sacrifice precious time with their loved ones, and when enjoying our freedoms, extend greater service.

From my family to yours, and in the spirit of gratitude and reflection, we wish you peace and a wonderful Thanksgiving.
