Police from the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica are looking for a group of five suspects who assaulted a motorist in Hollis last month before stealing his car.

Police say the incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, as the 61-year-old victim was sitting in his 2016 Toyota SUV in front of 190-40 99th Ave., across from the Long Island Rail Road tracks, when he was approached by the group. The suspects then slugged him in the face through the driver’s side window.

They proceeded to pull the victim from behind the wheel and threw him onto the roadway before driving off in his vehicle, police said.

EMS responded to the crime scene and transported the injured motorist to NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens, where he was listed in stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the group of suspects on Sept. 5.
