Little League and Mets Are Both Amain’ At Shea

Bob Reid has taken the expression "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" to new heights the top deck of Shea Stadium to be precise.
The president of the Bayside Little League recently sponsored the leagues 10th annual trip to Shea for a day of baseball and family time.
The league sold a whopping 500 tickets to the event and Reid estimated that as many as 300 children attended.
The evening was particularly memorable for Reid, who was honored before the game with the New York Mets Spirit Award, for community volunteerism. "I was overwhelmed that I would be selected for something like that," said Reid who is also a veteran detective at the 114 Police Pct.
