I was ripped off by Major World selling a 2011 Chevvy Cruize car that had been declared a lemon in the carfax and they hid that. When we tried to make a trade in a car in the Jeep, it was not accepted until today that we continue to pay for this scrap. PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN DEMAND THESE SCAMMERS. The Hunters Point Library won't be open until the fall of 2017.

MAYBE THEY ARE MAKING TOO MUCH"DOUGH" NEW HIRES GET LESS STARTING "DOUGH"

Provide the documents and you continue to work. I don't see a problem unless you don't have the documents. Whatever happened to E-Verify anyway?

Good. It's about time someone took such a stand

The attorney general apparently does not realize that EPA has established "special accounts" for the Gowanus Canal and Newtown Creek superfund sites among others where money collected from responsible parties is deposited for the cleanup. these special accounts are seperate from the superfund trust fund and are not subject to the vagaries of the superfund appropriation process. However, for sites without special accounts, the proposed cutbacks could slow down progress.

Two things I really hate. Women abusers and I especially HATE people who abuse animals. This LIC douche bag ghetto hood rat, Dorian Quezada, 21, of LIC on 43rd Street threw his mixed-breed Chihuahua out of a third story window back in August of 2016. The dog luckily survived, but broke a leg and dislocated his ankle and is doing very well in his new home with people that care instead of this major douche bag punk-ass hood rat. NOW this punk, DORIAN QUEZADA, will spend a year in prison where I am sure his 21 year punk will have his anus stretched out so far, crap will just slide out of it with no problem even when he is just walking. Might want to pick up some Depends Dorian when you get out of prison. Since none of the papers posted this punk’s photo, I did some research and found his Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/bootz.cashtoria)with photos. So now everyone can see who this major punk is. So let’s hear from your hood rat buddies or family about how you are so misunderstood, You PUTO CULO. https://cleanupjamaicaqueens.wordpress.com/

A major weekend inconvenience for all 7 train riders. However, once it is done by the end of this year, CBTC, or communication based train control, will be implemented and there will be several trains per hour for each day. This is important for an influx of thousands of residents are living along the 7 train.

Great article.. well done. Nice to know there are businesses with heart in LIC.

I think it's time for the city (and other levels of government) to stop trying to find new things to tax and to find ways to cut the cost of providing essential services. Stop being involved in things that are not part of being a government, such as entertainment venues.

Does this light rail proposal along the lower montauk branch from LIC to Jamaica will spur commercial, economic, residential and retail development along the corridor? You will be the judge of that.

Hope it all works out!

This puts more pressure on the already overcrowded MTA subway system in LIC in the next couple of years or so.

As a long time resident of queens, a champion of Long Island City and a workaholic, I could really use some time off in beautiful Cancun. I have also been meaning get better at speaking Spanish and think this would be a great way to do it. If I win, I will document the trip and share it with other Queens natives.

Teaching at a community college, I haven't had a vacation in years. My students present various challenges: for instance, this semester one who's blind needs special lesson materials and one who thinks he's a werewolf needs extra attention! Last year, I won a faculty recognition award for my work with students with special needs. During the summer, I teach more classes, prepare for the following semester, and take care of things I haven't had time for previously. I've never been to Mexico; if I win the vacation, it will be an opportunity to learn and practice some Spanish, to better communicate while there and with Spanish-speaking students and staff when I return.
