Queens Schools Go Online With Holiday Sound Bites

Community Web site, Bayside Queens Online, will feature holiday concerts from four neighborhood schools. Participating schools include St. Francis Prep, Bayside High School, Marie Curie Middle School, and Queensborough Community College. Holiday sound bites will be available from concerts performed by the school choruses, bands, and orchestras. The concerts took place this month with the exception of the Queensborough Community College concert that took place in late October with a Halloween theme to it. Some of the songs featured will be "Merrily We Sing", "I Wonder As I Wander", "Carol of the Bells" and "Silent Night". Christmas classics like "Einekleine Christmas", "My Son My King", "Mr. Santa" and "Fugue" by Handel will also be available for your listening pleasure. The real audio samples are expected to begin airing on December 23 and continue through the holiday season with more sound bites being added to the web site as Christmas nears. To enjoy the holiday cheer you can tune in to www.baysidequeens.com.
