The stretch of Sutphin Boulevard between Jamaica and Hillside avenues may soon become the most attractive and well-kept road in downtown Jamaica.
Gov. George Pataki announced a $1.6 million grant April 6 for a pedestrian improvements project along the boulevard, officials said. The plan calls for sidewalk repaving and beautification along a five-block segment of Sutphin which includes the Criminal and Civil courts buildings.
