As The Queens Courier went to press on Tuesday, early news reports show that Congressman Anthony Weiner appears to be a big winner over his opponent Noach Dear. Weiner carried the Queens portion of his district in Forest Hills with a wide margin of victory. In the 36th District Assembly race Michael Gianis appears to have beaten opponent Kimon Thermos by a 55 to 45 margin. In the 7th A.D., Assembly veteran Cathy Nolan looks like a big winner over the challenge by Patrick OMalley. In the 34th A.D. incumbent Ivan Lafayette is a big winner over William Salgado.
