In a dramatic championship contest, LIAM and STORM tied with a total of 308 points, KEVAN finished third with 307 points. LIAM’s Novices led off the match with a first-place finish by Stephan Garcia's in the 25-yard freestyle. The LIAM Juniors continued the dominating swimming they displayed all year with a first and second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle by Dominic Acevedo and Malcolm Moore. The junior 100-yard freestyle relay (Gabriel Fossatti, Anthony Cabahug, Patrick Fontaine and John Blandeburg) continued the LIAM Junior domination with a first-place finish, completing a perfect year with first place finishes in every swim meet. The junior 100-yard medley relay, with Kyle Shillingford, Peter Ornes, Jimmy Pickel and Sebastian Delahoz, continued the fine swimming with an another LIAM first-place finish, as the LIAM team built a lead going into the Senior swimmers.
A dramatic 100-yard Senior freestyle relay had the crowd at its feet, as LIAM and STORM battled for the championship with a STORM narrow win leading to the final tie score. LIAM finished the season as the only undefeated team in the Diocese and with only four seniors leaving, LIAM expects to be even better next year.
