Flowers By Peter remains undefeated in DG action

Minor Division

Flowers by Peter 14, Pier 53 Restaurant 4. Patrick Schule scored five goals, as Flowers by Peter defeated Pier 53 Restaurant, 14-4. Jordan Chateau and Gregory Insana also scored hat tricks and brothers Alexi and Matt Malo had goals. Goalie JD Schabutti earned his fourth straight win, while Kevin and Jonathan Kamiadi starred on defense . Flowers is 4-0 on the season.

Flowers by Peter 9, Mass Electric 7. Mass Electric put up a strong fight against Flowers By Peter this past Friday evening falling, 9-7. The entire game was neck-and-neck until Flowers By Peters grabbed a two-goal lead in the third period. Defense by Mass Electric, led by Kevin Cassasa and Jesse Hermanowski, was fierce, as both fought to keep the puck out of Mass Electric’s end. Brothers Joe and Kevin Tomlinson also fought their hardest, demonstrating excellent passing and team play as they attempted to penetrate Flowers By Peter’s defense. Goals scored by Schrader, Rosas, Santiago and J. Tomlinson kept Mass Electric in the game right to the very end.

Erin's Isle 16, Mass Electric 6. Mass Electric took one on the chin against Erin’s Isle, 16-6. There were some bright moments, however, as Joe Voit scored three goals, Andrew Jay Rosas added two and Nelson Santiago buried the biscuit once. Gian Paolo Liscene and Jesse Hermanowski played their best games of the young season in a losing cause. For Erin’s Isle, Travis Lippert scored eight goals, Nick Veljacich scored twice, Kevin Murray had four goals and Joseph Favalora and Matthew Shupack also scored.

Major Division

Mattone Group 14, Charmer Industries 12. Steven McGrory blasted six goals to lead Mattone’s hard-skating hockey team to victory. Christian Kenny and Tommy Monte both scored three goals each, while Ray Rosa and Chris Marzano netted a goal apiece on pure hustle. Alex Palazzolo and Paul Masi were stellar on defense and Masi also added two assists to Mattone’s offense.

Project Piping 11, Mattone Group 7. Evan Kundrat scored a hat trick for Mattone, while Ray Rosa played brilliantly, picking up a goal and an assist. J.J. Cormejo blasted home his first goal of the season to add to Mattone’s score. Chris Fioravanti was big on defense for Mattone. Project Piping was led by captain Anthony Yaccavone with eight goals and an assist and Matthew Brady was awesome on defense, stopping Mattone group on numerous occasions. Project Piping’s Eric Tully did a find job between the pipes and Chris Wirta and Charlie Raffaniello also played great games.

Senior Division

Rudy’s Bakery 7, Transcreen 3. Rudy’s Bakery dominated this game from beginning to end. Ben Lee had a tremendous game, scoring the first two goals early in the first period and scoring a third goal in the second period. Jimmy Brady scored two goals and Matt Novak and Anthony Binanti contributed a goal apiece. Danny Ngo had a strong defensive game. For Transcreen, Cory McGrath, Steven Licul and Tommy Werthmuller provided the offense.
