John M. Genovese is senior vice president real estate for The Macerich Company, a public real estate investment trust headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif.
During his eight-year tenure with The Macerich Company, he has overseen the development and enhancement of several retail projects. Genovese and his team are currently completing a $275 million dollar expansion of Queens Center in New York City.
He was senior vice president of real estate for Equity Properties and Development Company, a retail properties company owned by Sam Zell. Genovese holds a bachelor of architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and master's degree in business from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
