For the nine years preceding his October death, all anyone knew about Henry was that he was black, 5-foot-7, about 165 pounds and the victim of a vicious beating that placed him in a coma at age 26.
So when Joanne Cicero learned that Henry was set to be buried on Hart Island in a grave as anonymous as his short life, she immediately picked up the phone.
