Flushing Savings Bank expands to Bayside

Several years ago, Flushing Savings Bank, FSB, eyed Bell Boulevard as a preferred location for expansion. The desired location finally became a reality Friday afternoon, when Flushing Savings Bank officially opened their new branch in Bayside on Bell Boulevard and 42nd Avenue with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by many public officials, local residents, business owners, and Flushing Savings Bank executives.
“We’re thrilled to be in this great community,” said John Buran, president and chief executive officer of Flushing Savings Bank. “We’re here to make a difference in the community and provide a level of service we’ve become famous for in the borough of Queens. We have a definite role to play in the area of Bayside.”
“We are excited to have Flushing Savings Bank join the Bayside community,” said Assemblyman Mark Weprin, on hand for the ceremony. “It’s a beautiful-looking bank. I think consumers will appreciate it.”
Occupying more than 3,600 square feet, the new branch will provide a wide array of financial products for both consumers and businesses such as checking, savings and certificate of deposit accounts, diverse residential and commercial mortgage options, and home equity and business loans.
The bank will also offer services to 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationally on the Allpoint network, free ‘ez’ online banking with bill payment, 24-hour telephone banking and education, estate and retirement planning. Additionally, the bank specializes in mixed-use, multi-family and commercial real estate lending and is a preferred lender for small business loans through the Small Business Administration. The bank will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The new branch will be led by Nancy Intagliata, who previously worked in Flushing Savings Bank’s Auburndale location. In previous years, she was the branch manager for HSBC Bank, Fleet Bank and Citibank. “I can’t express how excited I am for this opportunity,” she said. “Bayside is a very warm, involved community. I’m looking forward to growing with the community.”
