Katz purchases new public address system for P.S. 175

Councilwoman Melinda Katz (left) allocated $200,000 for the purchase of a new public address system for P.S. 175. The new public address system will allow the principal to communicate more effectively with teachers and students. Katz said, “It is important that schools are equipped with an operational public address system. Communications between staff is not only important for the execution of daily school business but also critical for the safety of the students in case of an emergency.” Katz gives special thanks to Principal Linda Green (right), Assistant Principal Pat Cooper, Parent Association President Ellen Weisman, Parent Association Co-President Lisa Eichenholz, Parent Coordinator Francine Sternberg, teachers and parents who dedicate their time and energy to the children of our community.
