Brandywine Senior Living acquires The Savoy and Huntington Terrace

Brandywine Senior Living and its affiliates, prominent owners and operators of senior living communities, announced the acquisition of The Savoy at Little Neck in Little Neck and Huntington Terrace in Melville on Monday, July 9.
Brandywine acquired the properties, which are Brandywine’s first in the State of New York, from an affiliate of The Carlyle Group.
“We are proud to welcome these beautiful communities into the Brandywine family,” said Brenda J. Bacon, Licensed Operator, President, and CEO of Brandywine. “We are excited about expanding the Brandywine standard of excellence in senior living services to the State of New York. The Savoy and Huntington Terrace have a tradition of service to their residents that fits well with Brandywine’s commitment to high quality care. We hope to continue that fine tradition and add some of Brandywine’s signature programming as well.”
The addition of The Savoy and Huntington Terrance expands Brandywine’s portfolio to 13 communities in five states - New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut and New York. The company also has two communities under construction, one in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and one in Fenwick Island, Delaware.
In June 2006, Brandywine Senior Living received a capital investment from Warburg Pincus in order to grow its senior living business to meet the needs of a growing senior population and expand their residential choices.
Brandywine communities feature elegant settings, restaurant-style dining, spacious apartments and a rich and vibrant arts and entertainment program. “Our team of professionals is the best in the industry,” said Bacon. “We are dedicated to being there when families can’t be, with 24-hour on-site licensed nursing staff, security, safety and fun. Our residents love living at Brandywine and we cherish the opportunity to be a part of their lives. That’s why we say ‘At Brandywine…Life is Beautiful.’ ”
