State Senator Frank Padavan took part in a special event with students from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Bayside on Friday, September 14. The “Honor and Sing the Star Spangled Banner” event was designed to teach students about the history and importance of the flag. Padavan presented the school and students with the “Flag of Heroes,” which honors the police, fire and emergency services personnel that gave their lives to save others on 9/11. With the Senator are principal Joan Kane and students Raymond Casey and Francesca Gonzalez.
