Vallone fundraising dinner

Local elected officials and community leaders gathered for a fundraising event for Councilmember Peter Vallone, Jr. recently at the Bohemian Beer Garden in Astoria. Vallone’s father, Peter Vallone, Sr., spoke first about his son’s commitment to government.
“Speaking of destiny, as much as I hate and tried to stop term limits for the Council, it does present a great opportunity to advance gifted officials like him to higher office where he can go beyond Astoria to serve all of this great borough’s diversified population at the next election, and all of the people of the greatest city in the world in the future,” Peter Vallone, Sr. said.
Fellow Queens leaders also touted Vallone, Jr.’s work.
“We can’t do our job without the money and the resources to maintain that level of support, and people like Peter [Vallone, Jr.] are behind us 100 percent,” said Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown.
