Charges Dropped Against Van Driver

The 60-year-old driving the private van that crashed, injuring seven students, has been cleared of all charges.
According to reports, Gene Boyd, who does not have a license to transport children, had been charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
But proseccutors have determined that his actions did not warrant legal action.
Boyd was driving seven students on Friday morning, December 14 when the van collided with an MTA bus at Union Turnpike and 184th Street.
Six of the children were taken to various hospitals for evaluation.
Rebecca Frazier, 9, was taken to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she later underwent surgery for a fractured skull. She is listed in critical but stable condition.
Boyd, who suffered chest pains at the 107th Precinct, was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital.
