Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown stands amidst just a few of the hundreds of toys recently collected by his staff, to be given to needy children around Queens.
“I am proud of our generous and thoughtful staff members who always remember to donate a toy that needy children can share in the spirit of the season,” Brown said, adding, “Their giving and sharing during the holidays is a bright and shining reflection of their devotion to public service.”
The toy drive began on December 1st and collection boxes were placed in corridors at three Queens DA office sites. Members of Brown’s staff coordinated the collection and distribution of the yuletide gifts.
The toys were donated to St. Mary’s Children Center in Flushing; Centro Hispano “Cuzcatlan” in Jamaica; Cambria Heights Community Church in Cambria Heights; and Lawrence Nursing Care Center in Far Rockaway.
