Truck Flips, Spills Asbestos On Clearview Expressway

Traffic was backed up for hours on the Clearview Expressway near the Long Island Expressway after an accident on Sunday, January 13 left a tractor trailer believed to have been carrying asbestos flipped. The driver, Artur Gaska, 39, was arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident after his vehicle struck a median divider and toppled over. Cleanup efforts lasted for about 12 hours.
