PSAL Girls playoff seeding

Francis Lewis may not be a perennial contender to reach the PSAL Class AA championship game any longer, but their stranglehold of the borough remains. The Patriots won their eighth consecutive Queens crown recently, taking Queens AA with a 12-3 record. Lewis earned the No. 8 seed in the upcoming PSAL Class AA playoffs. They will host No. 9 James Madison February 27. August Martin (10-5), who is the 10 seed, will visit No. 7 Manhattan Center February 27.
Martin Van Buren and John Bowne shared the Queens A title, each finishing 17-1, thanks to the Wildcats’ 62-56 win February 4. Bowne was granted the sixth seed and Van Buren the seventh spot in the upcoming PSAL Class A playoffs. Townsend Harris is No. 20.
In the Class B brackets, undefeated Academy of American Studies (26-0) of Queens B-2 is the top seed. Queens B-I champion Springfield Gardens is No. 5, Far Rockaway No. 10, Grover Cleveland No. 11 and Queens High School of Teaching No. 16.
