The Kew Gardens Improvement Association recently held its 3rd Annual Kew Gardens Spring Into Summer Community Day.
Held on Lefferts Boulevard, Metropolitan Avenue and Austin Street, the day began with a “Pooch Parade.” Other activities included storytelling, face paintings, arts and crafts, music and dance performances, a magic show, information on fire safety, and a display of works by local artists.
The Kew Gardens Civic Association, the Kew Gardens Council for Recreation and the Arts and Jamaica Hospital Center, also supported the festivities.
