With no arrests yet in the murder of 29-year-old Gerardo Antoniello, his grief-stricken family has posted a sign in their pizzeria thanking the community for its support.
At Romeo’s on Cross Bay Boulevard, the sign reads, “The family of Gerardo ‘Jerry’ Antoniello would like to thank family, friends, the community and the NYPD for their very generous outpouring of love and support during this very tragic time.
Love,
The Antoniello Family”
Currently, the 106th Precinct Detective Squad is investigating the September 9 tragedy, which police say began as a push-in robbery at the family’s home on 95th Street and North Conduit Avenue – and ended with Gerardo shot in the back of the head and killed and his father injured.
According to police, the suspects wanted in connection with the murder are two male blacks; the first is described as tall with a thin build; the second is described as short, with a stocky build.
