Dr. Navid Rahmani of Bayside & Mid-Island Dental Associates is dedicated to letting his patients know the options available to them while helping them to “create the healthy and esthetic smile they desire.”
Rahmani, a Cum Laude graduate of New York University, received his doctorate and certification in peridontology from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. His periodontal therapy training has been in areas such as periodontal plastic surgery, bone grafting, implantology and gum disease.
As an advocate for good periodontal health, Rahmani’s work philosophy involves sitting down with each of his patients and explaining to them the different options that are available to them. This includes “using the most up-to-date diagnostic tools available” and then providing patients with the treatments that best meet their needs.
Saving a patient’s natural teeth is also Rahmani’s first choice. However, when that is not possible, he presents them with “the most modern alternatives available.”
Rahmani is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and the Northeast Society of Periodonists.
Rahmani is a recipient of Stony Brook’s John Oppie McCall Award, which is given on an annual basis to a person who has demonstrated “exemplary dedication and proficiency in the art and science of peridontology.”
