RICHMOND HILL — Police were looking for a pair of men they said were responsible for a string of robberies at Sovereign Banks in Brooklyn and Queens.
The first robbery took place at a branch at 301 Avenue U in Brooklyn Dec. 11, police said. They struck three more banks in Brooklyn between Dec. 18 and Jan. 13 before robbing cash from a branch at 118-11 101 Ave. the morning of Jan. 19, according to authorities.
During the incidents, the men entered the bank, gave a note to a teller demanding cash and fled with the money, police said.
One suspect was described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall and between 160 pounds to 180 pounds, according to authorities.
The other suspect was described as a white male in his 30s and roughly 5 feet, 7 inches tall, police said.
