Gunpoint robber arrested
Police have arrested a man they say executed a gunpoint robbery on Sunday, July 11.
The incident happened in the vicinity of 72nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue when, according to the victim, a 20-year-old Hispanic man, the three suspects – ages 18, 20 and unknown — followed him from the train station into 35-38 75th Street. The suspects then pointed a gun at the victim and physically removed a cell phone and money from him before running off.
On July 22, Samuel Johnson, 17, of the Bronx, was arrested and charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property.
