Live storytelling in LIC

The art of storytelling comes alive every month in Long Island City, through the series “1001 Nights.” The live storytelling series, which was started in 2009 by Eugene Ashton-Gonzalez, is held monthly at The Creek Lounge, located at 1043 Jackson Avenue.

“There’s a [live storytelling] scene in Manhattan already and there seems to be, in the last few months or last few years…a scene in Brooklyn coming up,” said series co-host Ted McAdams. “But we seem to be…the Queens staple for now.”
