Penny collectors get reward luncheon

On Friday, June 25, P.S. 232 hosted a luncheon for the kids and parents of Kids Who Care, a community service team with 75 fifth-, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade members.

Pat McCabe of Senator Joseph Addabbo’s office was on hand to congratulate the students, who this year, came in second place – citywide – in collecting $8,000 in change, primarily pennies, for Penny Harvest, the largest child philanthropy program in the United States.
