The Ozone Tudor Civic Association held its annual 9/11 memorial on Saturday, September 11 in the Addabbo Playground in Tudor Village.
“We spoke about the first responders who died, those who perished in the airplanes and the people who worked recovery who are dying today because of the effects of 9/11,” said Frank Dardani, president of the Ozone Tudor Civic Association.
With Senator Joseph Addabbo and Community Board 10 chair Betty Braton in attendance, as well as community members, some of the names of those who died were read and candles were lit in their honor.
“It’s a continuing memorial,” said Dardani. “Our idea was to read some of the names each year, continue that and hand it down.”
