CORONA — Two men were arrested last month for holding up a 7-11, the Queens district attorney said.
Vlad Neceaeve, 17, who lives in the Saxon Hall apartment building in Rego Park, and Tal Katz, 25, of 50th Avenue in Corona, were arraigned May 21 on robbery charges, the DA’s office said.
On May 13, a worker at the 7-11 at 107th Street and Corona Avenue said Katz and a man wearing a mask entered the store around 3:30 a.m., the criminal complaint said. The man with the mask allegedly approached him with what appeared to be a black handgun while Katz allegedly demanded cash, according to the complaint.
Cameras outside the store videotaped Neceaeve putting on a face mask and entering the 7-11, the complaint said.
The store employee told investigators he allegedly saw both men walk up and down the street together and talking to each other outside the store before they entered it, according to the complaint.
Police searched Katz’s residence and found a Baretta BB gun, the complaint said.
Neceaeve allegedly told investigators he entered the store and pointed a gun at the employee while taking money out of the register, according to the complaint.
