Links hold anniversary reception

The Greater Queens Chapter of The Links, Incorporated hosted its 15th anniversary reception on Sunday, June 12 honoring five new members and congratulating four alumna members for their years of service. Held at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center, a unit of JCAL, the event recognized the four new alumna members: C. Janet Banks, Juliette A. Hansen, Mattie D. Oliver and Queenabelle W. Turman, who have served the Links organization and the borough of Queens with distinction after 10 or more years of membership, and are distinguished professionals in the fields of education, health and business. Newly-inducted members also presented a generous donation to the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) at the event.
