Special Valentine for Sunnyside Seniors

Members of the Sunnyside Kiwanis Club helped make Valentine’s Day memorable for seniors at the Sunnyside Community Services’ Center for Older Adults last Tuesday, Feb. 14, by performing various romantic songs. Accompanied by members of the center, Marc Leavitt of the Sunnyside Kiwanis performed a repertoire of romantic standards including “As Time Goes By” (made famous by the classic film Casablanca) and “Love Me Tender,” an Elvis Presley hit. The Valentine’s Day celebration also included donated raffle and door prizes. Shown with Leavitt (top photo) are Mark Wilensky, Peter Chiu, Judy Zangwill and Jerry Lederman.
