Contractor Training In Flushing

Flushing Bank’s John Siu (center) visited a session of the Queens Economic Development Corporation’s (QEDC) Home Improvement Training Course at the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce of Americain Fluhsing last Saturday, Mar. 24. Siu offered information about finance and lending to the roughly 40 contractors, who were taking the Mandarin-language course to prepare for the city Department of Consumer Affairs licensing exam. QEDC offered its first Mandarin-language training course in January, and so far, all 67 participants have passed the DCA test and obtained licenses. Siu stands between Nicholas Hardie (left), the course facilitator, and QEDC Executive Director Seth Bornstein (right).
