Board Members Installed for Duty

Sixty-five new and reappointed community board members were sworn in by Queens Borough President Helen Marshall during a ceremony at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park last Thursday, June 14. During the session, Marshall honored several board members who achieved milestones for long-time service to their respective advisory bodies. Marshall is pictured in the bottom photo (second from left) with (from left to right) Community Board 5 members Paul Kerzner, who was honored for 40 years of service; Connie Santos, recognized for 25 years of service; and Luis Rodriguez, who was appointed earlier this year.
